Floating Oracle

Floating Oracle is the root assistant in the live local AI OS cockpit. It can answer a bounded set of status and navigation questions without replacing the product surfaces that own the underlying work.

  • Preload independent browser-safe summaries for AI OS status, Graphify, and Hermes readiness.
  • Answer supported local status questions from allowlisted fields.
  • Navigate to reviewed AI OS routes.
  • Hand one voice request to the Hermes Intelligence portal, which owns broker, microphone, provider, and recovery behavior.
  • Escalate an eligible answer-only question to Hermes when the local answer path does not cover it and Hermes readiness passes.

Partial preload results are preserved. One unavailable source does not erase the useful status returned by another source.

Oracle does not perform arbitrary mutations, accept user-selected paths, or become a general shell. It does not own Hermes sessions, Voice setup, Knowledge Graph writes, Dream lifecycle actions, or extension workflows.

Navigation, voice, and Hermes escalation are separate allowlisted paths. A request that appears sensitive or mutating is not silently converted into an answer-only action.

Oracle conversation state is kept in memory for the current page experience. It is not synchronized into Hermes memory. Visible answers use bounded labels and safe summaries rather than local account material, machine-specific paths, or provider response bodies.

Floating Oracle is absent from the static public demo. The demo has no local status preload, Hermes escalation, voice handoff, or machine access. Run AI OS locally when you want to use Oracle.

If Oracle cannot answer, follow the named recovery state: refresh local data, open the owning surface, restore Hermes readiness, or use the typed Hermes Intelligence workspace.
